“Status Symbols”

The hood, you know when you arrived in the street of chrome city
When you go pass every car and their tires set 24 inch rims bling bling
reflected by the sun. It seems as the wheels are worth more than the car, man that really
symbolize the hood. Another thing everybody tattoos gives their description away, special if there doing
something they don’t suppose to do. Majority of my lady friends have their baby daddy name on the
crack of their ass, ha-ha! Smell of marijuana is floating around the surface.

Symbols

I believe that symbols reflected what you would like to be instead of what or who you

really are. I wouldn’t classify, compare, nor group myself with individuals who do so for

the reason being, I strongly feel that I was born to stand out then to fit in groups that use

symbols to shape their life. On the other hand, I known and have seen people who do

shape their life with symbols. For instance, I known these girls that just have to the ROC-

WEAR, GUCCI, SHANELL, STEVE MADDEN, and much more. I have no problem

with it but I feel if it will leave you with just lent in you pocket and dust in your wallet

then you shouldn’t buy it. Not hating or knocking nobody because that’s what they do. Its

not just the girls I know dudes who do the same thing but take it a little out of hand.

These dudes must have the ROC, LRGs, and ED HARDIES. Then they must have the old

school car on 24”, 26”, and 28” rims that most time do fit but its what they do. Its get

better with their $800-2,000 dollars chairs, $400 coats, and million dollar girls they keep

until the is gone. I feel that is all good if you got like that but if you don’t and you just

happen to do these things then do the dam thing. Now only that to maintain this life style

or symbols must carry pistols in order not to be robed. This is a perfect example of why

you should live in your price range because somebody out there is real hungry and will

do anything to eat so watch yourself people.

People like me
People like me are just typical people who enjoy life. When you are people like me it doesn’t matter what you wear, what type of car you drive or what kind of phone you have. People like me just enjoy other people. People like me tend to have:
• Have a good personality
• Don’t judge people. Nobody is perfect
• Enjoy life
• Respect yourself
• Respect others
I’m sure that you can see that’s its not hard to be people like me. I really don’t have much to say in this blog so let me tell you about some other status symbols. There are so many groups. For one in order for you to be a thug, you have to wear your pants down to your knees, smoke and drink, have to have the fancy rims on your car, wear certain type of shoes and clothing brand, the chains and all of that dumb shit. Well little do these people know that a lot of people do this to hide the pussy that they really are? Don’t be fooled. But why do people do this? Maybe because they wasn’t to be accepted and fit in somewhere where they don’t belong. All I’m saying is being your own person makes a difference in life you don’t have to follow behind people to succeed in life. Lead your own path to the road of success.

Status Symbols

Through out the years of man history; from the richest person to the bum sleeping on the street. From the biggest couturiers in the world to the most deprive. The one status symbol that never change and everyone wants is call RESPECT. This one word has made men and women great, and also destroys manly lives. Some people it mean having a lot of money and power. Others think that respect is fear. Drug deals run their business off fear to them this respect. Gangs fight and kill each other everyday for this word. Family are ruin because the spouse feel that his or her spouse isn’t given them the respect they deserved.
But those are only the dark side of the word. There is a beauty to this word. Great leader was able to lead courtiers to great things, because their people believed in them and respect them. Parents who have the love and trust of there child , will always have there respect. This one status symbol that everyone shares and will never change. The one thing every one most under stand that respect is earn and not give.

Status Symbols

Acting ghetto, when has this been acceptable to act this way in public. Every time you turn on the television someone is acting like they don’t have any common sense. It sadness me to see my own race the target as the worlds court jester. Why do we as Americans glorify been a gangster. Why do most people say,” I gotta do what I gotta do to make ends meet.” To me that’s a sound of laziness and taking the easy way out. Me personally you don’t have to sell drugs to make it out of the ghetto, this is suppose to be the land of opportunity. So if you are going to take the easy out don’t be lazy. (i.e. sell drugs) I suggest go to school are get a job. We as Afro-American are the worlds largest spending with only being 14% of the population. So next time you are about to spend that money on a grill, 28’ rims. Think about what you are going to be doing when you are 65 years over age. On how that money could hvae work for you.
